Rivers Begin As Rain 2027 Desk Calendar

River water starts as rain or snow, running off the land or seeping through the ground into springs before it reaches the channel. A 2027 desk calendar with twelve calm scenes of moving water, from mossy creeks and misty waterfalls to wide winter rivers and a stony braided bed, set in southern seasons order: January is high summer and July is midwinter. Each page pairs one scene with one short, true fact in small print, from SUMMER STORMS RAISE THE CREEKS in January to BUBBLES MAKE THE SOUND OF STREAMS in December, and sets the month’s dates beside it on a pale panel, Sunday first. The cover reads RIVERS BEGIN AS RAIN. 10 x 5 inches (25 x 13 cm), 250 gsm paper, matte or glossy. Printed in Australia.

Written for southern seasons: summer in January, winter in July.
