Auroras Shine Above The Weather 2027 Desk Calendar

Auroras glow from about 100 km up to several hundred kilometres high, far above the clouds and weather, which stay in the lowest 10 to 15 km of the air. A 2027 desk calendar with twelve calm night skies lit by the southern lights, from a faint summer glow on the sea to violet and green curtains over still lakes and tussock plains, set in southern seasons order: January is high summer and July is midwinter. Each page pairs one scene with one short, true fact in small print, from SUMMER TWILIGHT HIDES THE GLOW in January to THE SUN’S CYCLE RUNS ABOUT 11 YEARS in December, and sets the month’s dates beside it on a pale panel, Sunday first. The cover reads AURORAS SHINE ABOVE THE WEATHER. 10 x 5 inches (25 x 13 cm), 250 gsm paper, matte or glossy. Printed in Australia.

Written for southern seasons: summer in January, winter in July.
